Post-construction cleaning: what you actually need

After a renovation or a new build, the obvious rubbish goes in the skip. The problem that remains is fine dust on every horizontal surface, inside cupboards, and in the tracks of windows and sliding doors.

A handover clean is a different job from a residential clean. It is about residue, stickers on glass and appliances, paint specks, and plaster dust that keeps reappearing if you only wipe once.

Book it when the dusty trades are finished. Cleaning halfway through a fit-out means paying twice. If sparkies or painters are still coming back, tell us, and we will time the final clean after them.

Walk the property with a short list: kitchen, bathrooms, floors, inside glass, and any surface the next person will touch. That list is the quote. Everything else can be added, but it should be named before we start.
