Builders' and post-construction cleaning in Wellington
Building dust gets into everything. We remove the fine film, debris, and leftover marks so the property is ready for the next trade, the photographer, or the people moving in.
A properly scoped service
What to expect from builders' and post-construction cleaning
Post-construction cleaning removes the fine dust, labels, packaging, and trade residue left after building work. It is different from ordinary house cleaning: dust continues to settle, surfaces may be newly finished, and several trades can still be completing defects.
The best result comes after noisy and dusty work is finished, power and water are available, and the site is safe to move through. We agree whether the job is an initial clean, a final presentation clean, or a staged combination before quoting.

Our process
Clear from first message to final check.
Assess site readiness
We confirm which trades remain, what debris is removed, and whether floors, power, water, lighting, and access are ready.
Protect new finishes
Surface schedules and manufacturer guidance help avoid damage to fresh paint, joinery, stone, glass, and coated fixtures.
Remove dust systematically
High surfaces, joinery, fittings, floors, and edges are worked in an order that limits recontamination.
Prepare for presentation
A final pass targets labels, marks, glass, touch points, and the details visible at handover or photography.
Scope
What shapes the visit
The visit follows the property. These are the details that most often change the time, equipment, or team required.
- Build or renovation size and the stage of practical completion
- Volume of fine dust, adhesive, labels, paint spots, and trade residue
- New surface types and any manufacturer cleaning restrictions
- Staged cleans, deadline pressure, access, and remaining trade activity
Before we arrive
How to prepare
A little preparation protects your property and lets the booked time go toward cleaning rather than access or setup.
- 1Have trades remove construction waste, offcuts, and hazardous materials.
- 2Confirm the site is safe, lit, and supplied with working power and water.
- 3Provide finish schedules and flag uncured coatings or delicate new surfaces.

View all resultsCommon questions
Before you book.
Specific requirements will be confirmed in your quote. These answers cover the questions we hear most often.
When should a builders' clean be booked?
Book early enough to reserve the handover window, but schedule the final clean after dusty trades and major defect work are complete.
Do you remove building rubble and trade waste?
Bulk debris and hazardous construction waste should be removed by the relevant contractor unless disposal is explicitly included in the quote.
Can you remove paint, silicone, and adhesive?
Light residue may be included after assessment. Removal depends on the product and surface because aggressive scraping or solvents can damage new finishes.
Why might a site need more than one clean?
Large projects often use an initial dust and debris clean followed by a final presentation pass after defects and remaining trades are finished.
