House washing in Wellington

Wellington weather leaves a film on cladding, paths, and the front of the house. We wash the exterior with a method matched to the surface, so the place looks sharp from the street.

A properly scoped service

What to expect from house washing

House washing removes environmental grime, dust, cobwebs, organic growth, and salt film from suitable exterior surfaces. The approach should match the cladding and condition; more pressure is not automatically a better or safer clean.

Wellington properties vary from sheltered weatherboard homes to exposed coastal buildings and steep hillside sites. We assess access, water, height, neighbouring property, drainage, and fragile areas before confirming what can be cleaned safely from the ground or with agreed equipment.

House washing on a Wellington exterior

Our process

Clear from first message to final check.

01

Assess the exterior

We review cladding, paint condition, access, height, growth, salt exposure, water supply, and nearby people or property.

02

Confirm exclusions

Openings, damaged paint, electrical fittings, delicate landscaping, high work, and inaccessible elevations are identified.

03

Apply the suitable method

The cleaning solution, agitation, dwell time, and rinse pressure are selected for the surface and condition.

04

Complete a final check

Accessible elevations are reviewed after rinsing, with any limitations or maintenance concerns reported.

Scope

What shapes the visit

The visit follows the property. These are the details that most often change the time, equipment, or team required.

  • Building footprint, storeys, elevation access, and slope
  • Cladding material, paint condition, and fragile exterior details
  • Organic growth, salt exposure, cobwebs, and time since the last wash
  • Water access, drainage, neighbouring boundaries, decks, and separate outbuildings

Before we arrive

How to prepare

A little preparation protects your property and lets the booked time go toward cleaning rather than access or setup.

  1. 1Close windows and doors and tell us about leaks or damaged seals.
  2. 2Move vehicles, outdoor furniture, washing, and fragile items away from the walls.
  3. 3Keep children and pets inside and ensure an outdoor water source is available.

Common questions

Before you book.

Specific requirements will be confirmed in your quote. These answers cover the questions we hear most often.

Do you pressure wash every house?

No. The method and pressure should suit the cladding, coating, age, and condition. Fragile or failing surfaces may need lower pressure or exclusion.

Can house washing remove mould and lichen?

It can remove or reduce many forms of organic buildup, but heavy established growth, staining, or damaged coatings may need staged treatment or specialist work.

Do I need to be home?

Not always, provided access, water, closed windows, pets, gates, and any site risks are arranged before arrival.

Can you wash roofs or work at height?

Roof and elevated work is assessed separately. We do not assume unsafe access is included simply because an area is visible from the ground.
